Goodbye 2014!
The bells are ringing and it’s time to escape the office for a few (not so wintery) days. 2014 is done and dusted, 2015 is peeking out from behind the curtains and asking all the usual questions of you. Are you ready? Rest assured, we are.
We’ve spent the year working hard with our heads down to bring you some spectacular little gems.
We mingled with the cloud enthusiasts at Xerocon for the release of our new cloud document and email management program, HowNow Online, which integrates with Xero Practice Manager (Workflow Max).
We released a revolutionary breed of workpapers: our HowNow Smart and Connected Workpapers, delivered straight from the cloud and connecting with APS.
We presented our exciting new standalone HowNow Portal to the tech-lovers at ATSA.
Our content updates to TemplatesNow have now reached 187 content updates over the past 13 years, across 700 procedures and templates.
We grew our team by 25% and opened a brand spanking new office in Collins St, Melbourne.
We rolled out our 12th edition of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of the Australian Accounting Profession in partnership with Macquarie Bank.
And we celebrated our 13th birthday in October and cut the cake over Skype with our dispersed team.
All in all, it’s been a pretty eventful 12 months.
Next year will see the official release of our HowNow Portal, and one that we believe to be the best on the market. HowNow Online will continuously deliver more functionality as feedback from our current users becomes product development and then product releases.
As has been the case for the last 13 years, HowNow (server version) will also undergo updates and changes to maintain its position as the leading document and email manager for Australian accountants. With this year’s Good Bad Ugly revealing that 74% of accounting firms intend to remain on servers, this will continue to be our primary focus.
The new year will also bring increased workpaper functionality, to include statutory and management reporting. Keep an eye out for this new venture, which we’ve named Reportance.
